Rachael joined the Quay Street Physiotherapy team in 2016 after graduating from the University of Queensland in 2015 with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy (Honours). Rachael has worked hard to strengthen her knowledge and skill base over this time to ensure that she can provide significant benefits to her patients. Rachael has completed post-graduate training in Western acupuncture/dry needling and continually participates in ongoing professional development opportunities, particularly in the area of TMJ (jaw) dysfunction, to ensure she is kept up to date with the latest evidence.
In 2018, Rachael was offered the opportunity to work alongside the Brothers Bulldogs AFL club as their physiotherapist, providing game day physiotherapy in combination with her clinical work. This follows on from several years working as a sports trainer at a variety of Brisbane based amateur and semi-professional sporting clubs. Rachael will continue her involvement with the Brothers Bulldogs in the 2019 season.
Rachael has a particular interest in treating headaches, acute sporting injuries, jaw pain/dysfunction and assisting patients with their post-operative rehabilitation.
Outside of work, Rachael enjoys an active life playing netball, swimming, going to the beach or spending time camping and fishing.
Rachael is a current member of the Australian Physiotherapy Association.
We pride ourselves on servicing the community, and with 6 Physiotherapists on staff, we endeavour to provide treatment in a timely manner.
