Quay Street sponsors Bundaberg Sports Star

August 14th, 2013 by Quay Street Physiotherapy

Quay Street Physiotherapy has been supporting the Bundaberg community for 14 years now. It is with great excitement that we can announce that we will be supporting local Bundaberg sports star Rebecca Jenner on her way to the World Half Ironman Championships in Las Vegas this year!

If you’ve never heard of an Ironman Triathlon it is the ultimate test of endurance, stamina and mental fortitude. All of which Rebecca has in spades. A half Ironman involves a 1.9km swim, 90km bike ride and a 21.1k run. Plus add in the heat and humidity of Las Vegas and you’re staring down the barrel at an enormous physical and mental test.

Help us Support Bec;

Quay Street Physiotherapy has a great history of supporting Bundaberg Sports – from our long association with Fairymead Swimming Club, to on-field support for Bundaberg Rugby Union, ATW Rugby League and Bundaberg Netball Carnivals.

It is an honour to be involved with such a dedicated and talented local Bundaberg sports star in Rebecca. I can personally attest to the hard work and training Bec has been putting in. Joining her on the training track over the last few weeks I’ve been put to shame as she literally runs laps around me.

Follow Bec on her Journey;

You can reach Rebecca directly on her Facebook page. We'll be keeping everyone updated on her progress and results from our FaceBook page as well – 'Like' our own Quay Street Physio Facebook Page here.

Help Support Bec from Bundaberg to Las Vegas

Over the last month Quay Street Physiotherapy have been running a fundraising campaign through our Facebook site. Donating $1 for each new 'like' we’ve received. Now we’re asking for your help. With everyone’s help we have raised over $300 so far. Money which is going directly to Bec to assist in her training and competition.

Follow this Rebecca Jenner Donate page to donate directly to Rebecca and help her in her quest for Gold.

Between time away from work, equipment, coaching and flights – the costs have added up. So we’re hoping to help bring the Bundaberg sports community together and help get behind her.

Unfortunately because we are a business, the donations are not tax deductable. However we can guarantee that 100% of donations will go directly to Rebecca.
