Julie-Anne Zahn

Julie-Anne Zahn graduated from University of Queensland in 1992.  As a new graduate, Julie-Anne worked for the Bundaberg Health service, initially in the Gayndah / Mundubbera region and then at the Bundaberg Base Hospital.  After working in the hospital setting for 18 months, Julie-Anne joined Angela Lathouras (the previous owner of the Quay Street practice) in 1994.  The travel bug set in and in 1996 she travelled extensively overseas. After 8 months abroad she returned home to Bundaberg.

Julie-Anne purchased Quay Street Physiotherapy in July 1999 and has since expanded the practice from initially employing 2 physiotherapists to the current staffing level of 6 physiotherapists.  During this period, Julie-Anne has achieved consecutive accreditation terms for the practice with the Australian Physiotherapy Association.

Julie-Anne is a local girl, born and bred in Bundaberg.  She was raised on a cane farm near Sharon and attended North Bundaberg State and Primary Schools.  Julie-Anne was very sports orientated, playing netball and softball at state level and was heavily involved in many other sports.  Family are now a huge focus in her life and she is dedicated to her husband Rob and 2 young sons Josh and William. She currently works clinically part-time but offers full time support to the practice and her staff.

She has a strong work ethic and is very proud of the support and loyalty of the patients and her staff. Julie-Anne has many years experience in the private hospital and private practice setting and is a valued mentor to new graduates and other members of staff.  She has a special interest in women’s health, orthopaedic rehabilitation and musculoskeletal injuries.
