Paediatrics

We are excited at Quay Street Physiotherapy to now offer a more extensive paediatric physiotherapy service to the community. Children are generally seen in the private setting with pain relating to sports, posture or biomechanical / maturation issues. There are many children, however, that have more complex needs and treatment requirements as a result of development and tone issues.

At Quay Street Physiotherapy we offer advice on looking after your child including positioning and appropriate activities for play. We also educate new parents about back care for themselves, equipment requirements, nursing positions, and other general advice.

Our new paediatric service will cater for children with any physical problem that may impact on their ability to move in an age appropriate manner. Many conditions would be first noticed and addressed by your GP or paediatrician, who can advise on required treatment and may refer your child to physiotherapy. However, if you are noticing any changes in your child's development, or a lack of, you do not need a referral to come to see us - so give us a call if you have any concerns!
